Wayfinding Explained

In its simplest form wayfinding signage provides a way to navigate around a site without having to ask for
directions. The two extreem types of signs found in this system are 'directories' and 'directional' signs.
Directories encapsulate all the information needed for navigation - ie. a map. Directional signs give step
by step directions around the site. In between these types are all others such as identification signs,
facility signs, statutory and regulatory signs.

MetroSigns has staff experienced in surveying site and developing such sign systems from design to
installation. Please feel free to contact our office to find out more or even for us to develop a sign
system for your site.
